I Can be a Scientist workshop

 
Children had lots of fun at our science worshop. Here is a graph that we created together on the Smart Board to represent students' favourite centres. We discovered that more students enjoyed the Paleontologist centre, and less students enjoyed the Float and Sink centre, the same number of students enjoyed the Meterologist and Weather centres.

The children made bracelets representing the life cycle of the butterfly by using beads.
Isabella found a piece of wood with holes. She thought it would be a perfect house for ants

For the last couple weeks, we have been learning about different cultures. In Visual Arts, the students have used water colors to decorate Japanese fans, they have used sand to create First Nations Arts and they have made a rain sticks used by the Aztecs. The Aztecs live in Mexico and used to play their rain sticks to bring about rainstorms. Here are examples of students work of Arts. You can also listen to the students as they play their rain sticks. We had lost of fun trying to recreate different rain sounds that we`ve explored on Youtube.

After reading ``Jack et le haricot magique,`` the students planted bean seeds. Here are the steps that they followed.
 

 
Premièrement, mettre les cailloux.

How high is Siena's castle? Siena estimated that it would take 15 cubes to measure her castle. Her friend Gabriela said that it would take 16 cubes and her friend Chiara thought it would take 55 cubes.
